Welcome to Rise and Shine Play Café – a warm and welcoming space designed for parents, carers, grandparents and their little ones to connect, play, and recharge.
We’ve created a comfortable, family-friendly café with thoughtfully designed interiors that bring a sense of calm and sunshine to your day. Our menu has been carefully crafted using local suppliers where possible, and can be pre-ordered when making your booking online, so that when you arrive, all you need to do is confirm your order, then sit back and relax!

Our dedicated Quayside Play Area is tailored for children aged 0–5 and includes:

A fun hide and slide gym to encourage active play

A 'pretend play' zone featuring a market, kitchen and dress-up accessories

An enchanting storytelling tree
We also have a separate Baby Lounge curated for parents and their pre-walkers with age-appropriate, eco-friendly toys that spark curiosity and support early development.

Our Story
Rise and Shine Play Café was born from the heart of a new mum who, after navigating the challenges of early parenthood, discovered how difficult it was to find places that combined high-quality food and coffee with an environment that welcomed babies and young children. Dining out often meant compromise — either on the food, the atmosphere, or the ability to truly relax while caring for a little one.

Determined to change that, she envisioned creating a play café where families could enjoy delicious food and coffee, all while little ones played, explored, and thrived in a safe and sensory-rich space.
